Mony Mony

Mony Mony

Mony Mony came to the rescue from Cancun on September 15, 2017. She was with 6 large dogs in a pen, and she was getting none of the food given to the group. Mony Mony was hiding between broken appliaces, so shy yet so sweet. She had ehrlichia (a tick-borne disease that thins the dogs blood) and she was COVERED in ticks. Also she had large, infected sores on her front legs from being tied at some point.

We took her in, removed the ticks, and bathed her. She was SO SKINNY (from both the lack of food and the ehrlichia). Mony Mony went into foster care with Jeannie, who is really good at putting weight on doggies. Jeannie got her healthy and she returned to the rescue on October 12th to be spayed. Mony Mony is super-friendly, a little shy, but sweet. She loves people and gets along with all the other dogs.
