Spay and Neuter Clinics, Puppies and More Puppies
The other thing that comes up is that people will bring in a nursing mother to be spayed at which time I always ask them about the puppies. It’s such a step backwards if we spay a bunch of dogs and batches of puppies are put out in the street at the same time. So I ask.
Usually, people have found a few homes but have some pups left so I say, ”If you have any trouble finding homes for them please let me know.” Then I give them my card. Most of the time I get some pups but this time we got all the pups.
WOW, including ages from three weeks to three months we were given thirty five puppies, I’m not exaggerating. Luckily fourteen of them went to Minneapolis and Denver right away.
This week we sent the two oldest ones and two (now eight week old) pups to Minneapolis so we’re down to fifteen and the two itty bitties, Fred and Rocky. What a wonderful life. Have a look at the adoption page if you want to see all the cuties.
