On January 11th, 2017, on our last day vacationing on Isla Mujeres we spotted Isla Animals rescue, we stopped by and well, the rest is history 🙂 My husband and I brought home (Toronto) our new fur friend. We named her ISLA because of where she came from 🙂 Isla is doing very well as she adjusts to Toronto living. Everyone she meets loves her and she is getting bigger every day. We are so grateful for Isla Animals and the work they do, we love our new family member very much!
Here are some pictures from when we first brought her home to now. ... See MoreSee Less
Lucky happy puppy!
What a great addition to your family. Alison has done so very much for isla.
Nice job!...look at her grow!
That was the fastest adoption I ever saw! All her cute sisters went shortly therafter, Sassy to Columbus, Ohio, and Sissy to Calgary, Alberta. The black dog you considered, Bernadette got adopted in Minneapolis, MN! So thrilled for you guys and Isla! Love the pictures!
Omg I love her!!!
Her is one so you can see her face(sassy). They all are so cute and look so happy!!

We celebrated a year with Isla on the 11th, we love her so much! She was one of the hut puppies. How are her sisters doing?

Cher went to her forever home yesterday. Her new name is Echo. Her new siblings are a "fat cat" BB (30 pounds!) and a human 2 year old Maisie. The family is awesome, reports this morning that she's doing great and that they're head over heels for her. I was head over heels in love with her, too. They shared these photos. ... Good for Cher/Echo! Thanks for all you did for her!
Another family received a blessing
Aww...so good to hear! She looks so sweet! Maisie & Echo will grow up together.
We are so happy for her. Our daughter is waiting to hear about Adele's forever home. That was her favorite pup in that litter. She loved the photo of her in her Christmas sweater.
Some of you may know little Frenzy who just came to Canada with me earlier this month. She is a shared dog between myself and my 89 year young neighbour, Blanche. After a couple of name changes, her new permanent name is Honey! She loves it and it suits her perfectly. ❤️ Honey loves the snow and cold weather! ... See MoreSee Less
She’s relaxing on the couch and partially on my lap after a rough day of playing! 🙂
Hooray for Honey! So cool that you adopted her a n d got her a grandma to boot!
Yea, guess 2 night layover in a Toronto airport hotel was enough to get you hooked!

Looks just like our Mabel! She has some Ibizan in her DNA, we are told!
Love her!!! Thanks for sharing it here!
Wanted to share a pic & video of our girl, Cami (used to Harpy as a puppy). She's the one being held in the picture (with the black bum dot). We've had her for about 3 years now in Vancouver, Canada (She's 3.5 now). She's the most kind, loving and smart dog I've ever seen. When the tide goes out she loves running on the sand and through the tidal pools. Thought you might enjoy the video of that! Thanks for all you do. 😀 ... See MoreSee Less
So awesome! She loves it!!
Thank you for sharing! So heartwarming!
Made me smile! Thank you for sharing. It is awesome to see these precious pictures and the love given to the puppies and the love that they now receive and give back to their families. Blessings to all of you!
That’s a happy dog! 💚
What a wonderful life you've given her, makes my heart smile to see your video!!
She must be a great great great grand niece of Clienta, who we rescued in 2003 at the age of 3. They have similar markings. Clienta passed at age 16 in April 2016.
Wonderful to see her so happy!
This is what it's all about 💓

Camilla is the newest member of my home in Grand Forks, BC Canada. It's a whole new different world to her! Smells, weather, vegetation, sights... even the water tastes different! The only other long-time member of my home is my 13-yr-old tabby cat Jaxxon, whom Cammy wants so badly to chase/attack. I'm reaching out to anyone else who has adopted and had this same problem. How did you deal with it? Is it due to her being a street dog? or is it in her genes? Upon research I'm wondering if she has some Viszla in her as apparantly they were/are bred in Mexico. She certainly has many features of the Viszla. She has a docked tail. I've also noticed upon looking at photos on Isla Animals site, that there seem to be a lot of dogs that look similiar to Cammie that have been rescued off the streets. I would really appreciate any tips, help, suggestions. I really love Cammie, she sticks to me like velcro which is what I wanted in a dog. I need her to learn that Jaxxon is not prey. She is also an escape artist - due to her life on the streets, I suppose. This morning she slipped out of a harness. Is there an escape-proof harness out there? ... See MoreSee Less
Cammy's been with us 12 days now and seems to be more understanding that Jaxxon lives here too! She's progressing well in that department, just more a look of curiousity when she looks at him, with tail wagging.

Who remembers Webber? Rescued from the junk yard in Rancho Viejo almost a year ago. Well here he is, albeit not thrilled to be getting his coat out for the oncoming MN winter, but truly loved and pampered. That makes it all better. ❤ ... See MoreSee Less
I met Webber 😊
Oh my, he is so handsome. He's one of the dogs that stole my heart. Stay warm little buddy.
He was a sweetie
Yes, I remember Webber. He was so shy, but loveable. I never thought he would come to MN unless I brought him here. When I saw Webber and Gus both came to MN, I had all I could do not to go and adopt them. Loved them both!
WEBBER!!!...they grow up so fast!😊😊😊
Here’s his brother Miguel (Jackoh - Junk Yard2) in his coat too!
